Pandora - Rolling out Viva Engage

The Task

Pandora’s old global news on SharePoint no longer matched their vibrant, youthful culture, had limited reach and made it tough to hit their global employee engagement goals. They needed something more dynamic and accessible, a social-first platform aligned with their brand and that allowed for two-way communication. That’s why they chose Microsoft’s Viva Engage, and together we kicked off the Pandora Engage project.

The Approach

We started by laying the groundwork for Pandora Engage with a strategic business case, making sure we were clear on the purpose, success criteria, and the audiences we needed to reach. We assessed the company’s readiness and then set up strong community governance, defining roles and responsibilities based on input from target audience representatives.

Our activation plan was synced with Pandora’s business flow and mapped out the key phases for launch and rollout. We developed and wrote a manifesto and core story, created a creative framework, and designed engaging launch materials like videos, stickers, and posters. This helped build excitement and set the stage for a successful launch. The content strategy for Pandora Engage was designed to mirror the approach you’d take when creating content for any social media platform—aimed at engaging the young workforce and fostering two-way communication.

The Result - Outcomes and achievements of the project

Pandora Engage was an instant hit. Within days, over 90% of desk-based employees had visited the platform, and promoted posts reached 5,500–6,300 colleagues. Engagement skyrocketed, with more than 300 likes, comments, and reshares—way above what the old intranet ever saw.

Pandora Engage is still going strong, enriching the company culture and revolutionising how employees connect and communicate globally.
