Which technology will have the biggest impact on internal communication?

We’ve been exploring virtual reality, augmented reality, mixed reality, and holograms for internal communication, but which will have the biggest impact?

It is hard to predict which will have the biggest impact but we know that anything related to the smartphone will be a key player. For example, augmented reality can be run straight through your smart phone. We’re seeing people becoming more comfortable about using their own devices at work.

Remember everything else on your phone is competing for your people’s attention. If you don’t have a solid plan about how you will use it, it won’t be effective. It needs to have a base in communication strategy and have a clear communication purpose.

An adoption strategy is essential to its success. If your people don’t know how to use the technology or are confused as to which tools to use when, they simply won’t use it.

And above all, don’t’ be boring. Your people are your most valuable asset and they deserve to be excited and engaged at work. Be open to the possible.
