Love at first prompt: Meet Copilot
Your new colleague who is always on the clock, never requires a break, and is perpetually ready to assist.
Open is no stranger to Microsoft Modern Work (or M365) adoption, and through many years of successfully working with it, we have obtained a deep understanding of this ecosystem.
The new kid on the block is the M365 Copilot. As you probably have heard, Copilot is Microsoft’s Generative AI tool, a digital personal assistant integrated into many of the M365 apps you already know and use.
Copilot is ready to assist
Copilot has access to many things, like emails, files, Teams channels and chats, and just like ChatGPT it can help you with a lot of productivity, and content creation tasks.
But unlike ChatGPT, M365 Copilot keeps your data personal and does not share with the rest of the world.
Copilot adoption is not exactly like the adoption of other types of Modern Work solutions. We’re working with the same principles and processes but with a new focus. Because M365 Copilot represents a completely new way of working, the key to adoption is learning how to communicate with Copilot in the correct way, using natural language, and building experience and competence with ‘prompting.’
It’s fair to say that adoption of Copilot is more akin to learning how to collaborate with a new digital colleague. In other words, Copilot adoption resembles a culture change project more than a classic IT platform adoption project.
Our Approach
The most effective approach we've discovered for adopting Copilot involves presenting this somewhat intricate product in a manner that is easily comprehensible for everyone. Think building immediate confidence with the users, through the more traditional easy use-case video examples, live demo sessions, but more importantly creating a story around the need for change and by careful positioning and aligning expectations.
We build communities centered around boosting skills and mastering Copilot's many advantages, turning the adoption process into a dynamic space for collaboration and shared learning.
Copilot is not a threat – Copilot is a friend
Copilot is powerful, and so is the current hype around it. We advocate for a personalised strategy, one that can be customised to suit particular requirements and the organisational culture, both the existing and desired.
Ultimately, there's no need to fear AI in the workplace. Embracing Copilot within your organization is an investment in its future.
And while Copilot won't replace your job, mastering its use could differentiate you from others in the workforce.
